This medicine is new-to-market , so we expect some questions

So your product cures nerve pain?
No, our medicine supports the body’s ability to heal while helping manage pain while it does.
The only real cure is your body healing the nerves and nerve sheath itself, and nerves heal very, very slowly.

Nerves sit within a myelin sheath, a protective layer made of fats and proteins.  This sheath often swells with the nerve, so they can swell together and get “locked up” in a swelling cycle (the nerve causes the sheath to swell, the swollen sheath aggravates the nerve causing it to swell,  which causes…). This medicine breaks that cycle and allows both the nerve and the myelin sheath to calm down and heal.  Damage to the myelin sheath is the basis of Multiple Sclerosis, Krabbe disease and Guillain-Barre syndrome to list a few.  For customers who have these permanent conditions, regular and consistent use of this product can provide reduction of symptoms and in some cases temporary relief.

Nerves heal very slowly, which is why conditions like “shingles” are so awful and take so long to resolve.
It will take no less than 9 months, probably upwards of a year before you don’t need medicine anymore. Most people can get off the couch and be mobile again after about 3 months.
This is a ballpark and of course is entirely dependent on the nature of the nerve damage.
Not immediately, no.  Most pain meds are addictive because they block the pain, so when you stop taking them the pain hits the brain like a freight train and this leads to horrible suffering. You need to smoothly, very slowly transition from one to the other, but in most cases after a few months, yes, this medicine can completely replace traditional pain meds and can provide the path you need to stop taking medicine at all (in a year or so).
We are not doctors and cannot give medical advice.  It is critical that you consult with your doctor before transitioning medicines, do not attempt to transition yourself off without consultation and extreme caution.
All cannabis (“marijuana”) is medicine for something, be it headaches, anxiety, sleep disorder, ADHD, seizures or other problems, but Green Heron Labs products are formulated specifically for nerve pain so you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars just to see what might work for you. Not intended for recreational use, our products have one purpose: helping those who suffer from nerve pain.
Noooo, that’s not it at all. There are over 1,500 strains of cannabis in the world – “high” is what happens when you take a drug intended for something you don’t have. You might become paranoid, you might fall asleep, but what you’re supposed to feel is normal! You know you’re taking the right strain in the right amounts when after you take it, it’s just a regular day with a lot less pain. Keep taking it for months until eventually, you forget to take it because the pain is almost gone. True, you could smoke one different joint out of thousands of options each day for over 5 years and see which ones work best if you want to do that, but a couple/few drops of this medicine each day is a much easier and more reliable way to go.
Yes, cannabis use is a highly personal experience, and there are well over a thousand different strains to choose from and they all do different things!
That said though, we know aspirin works a certain way for most people.  So do eyedrops, sunblock and those turkey dinners at Thanksgiving that make people sleepy. Certainly there are exceptions, but for the most part the human body works the same way.
As such, a medicine specifically made for nerve pain that works a certain way will work on most people, but it’s always possible there will be exceptions.
Start low. Our products are concentrated and designed for microdosing, not for getting high.
For most people, 5-10mg is an effective daily dose. You may not feel anything dramatic – that is the point. The goal is pain relief and inflammation reduction without impairment.
If you are dealing with severe or chronic nerve pain, you may need more initially – some people require up to 50mg to break the pain cycle. However, this is not sustainable and should not be your target. As your symptoms improve, reduce your dose by about 10mg per month until you reach the 2-5mg range. Many people eventually find they forget to take it at all because the underlying problem has resolved.
If you are new to THC or have been away from it for a long time, start at 5mg and wait at least two hours before taking more. You can always take more tomorrow. You cannot untake what you have already swallowed.
This medicine is cannabis based – in all likelihood you will not die and you probably will not need to go to the hospital. That said, you will probably have a really bad time.
Symptoms of taking too much include: severely blurred vision and dizziness, anxiety, racing thoughts, paranoia, couch-lock, dry mouth, an inability to speak and an overwhelming desire for the experience to be over. This is unpleasant but not dangerous.
If this happens: call a friend, eat something, drink water, and find a calm, safe place to wait it out. It will pass in 6-10 hours depending on your metabolism and how much you took. Sleep is your friend if you can manage it.
This is exactly why we emphasize microdosing. The goal is to take as little as possible to achieve relief – not to see how much you can handle. More is not better, more is just more.
Sublingual (under the tongue): 15-30 minutes. Swallowed: 45-90 minutes. The difference is absorption – sublingual enters the bloodstream directly, swallowed has to pass through digestion first. If you need faster relief, hold it under your tongue for 60-90 seconds before swallowing.
That said, it’s not like smoking a marijuana cigarette which hits hard and fast, but also goes away faster.  This medicine is intended to last you through your day and has multiple phases: a) pain relief (2 hours), b) muscle relaxation (4 hours) and nerve calming (4 hours). These phases don’t occur if the product is smoked.
It’s been said this product “creeps up on you”; some people don’t feel enough within the hour so they take more, and they discover they’ve taken too much after 3 hours pass! Take a dose and wait a full 2 hours before taking more – finding your dose can take a couple days of experimentation.  You’ll be on this medicine for months because nerves take a long time to heal, so taking a couple days to match your pain level to your medicine intake is a good idea.
We are not doctors and cannot give medical advice. Drug interactions are highly personal.
THC can interact with certain medications, particularly blood thinners, sedatives, and some antidepressants. Consult your physician or pharmacist before adding cannabis to your regimen. Bring your medicine bottles – they need to know the contents and concentrations.
Because the goal is medicine, not intoxication. Microdosing provides therapeutic benefit without impairing your ability to think, work, drive, or function. Larger doses do not heal faster – they just get you high and waste product. The body responds better to consistent, small inputs over time.
Unlike opioids, cannabis-based medicine does not block pain and this is why it’s generally non-addictive. As a result, if you want to take more because you still hurt, having to take a lot more means you’re taking the wrong medicine for your condition. Our users very rarely need more than 50mg.
Most people dose once or twice daily – morning and/or evening depending on symptoms. Consistency matters more than quantity. If you are using it for sleep, take it 30-60 minutes before bed. If you are using it for daytime pain management, start with a morning dose and see how long relief lasts before adding a second dose. Always wait two hours before taking more, this medicine will “creep up on you”.
It can help you sleep, but it’s designed to relieve your pain while keeping you functional and functional means awake.  Adjust your dose for optimal pain relief 2 hours after you take it, and if you can get to sleep within 1-2 hours of taking it, you’re probably good for the night. Repeat that dose for future evenings.
If your dosage makes you straight-up sleepy during the day, you’re probably taking too much.  We recommend dialing it back by 25% and seeing how that goes for daytime use.
There will be future formulations specifically for nighttime and daytime use.
Our standard medicine uses a specific Indica-Ruderalis hybrid selected specifically for nerve pain relief (high CBD, low THC with muscle relaxant and nerve pain reduction properties). We grow from seeds imported directly from the UK cultivator who maintains tight control over genetics. Our future products may include other strains – the Projects page has details on what is in development.
Full-spectrum. Our low-temperature extraction process preserves THC, CBD, CBC, CBG, CBN, and the terpenes that make the entourage effect possible. Isolates strip all of that out and give you THC only which is ineffective for supporting the body’s natural healing process.
It’s a real thing – cannabinoids work better together than in isolation. THC alone does one thing, while THC combined with CBD, CBN, CBC, and terpenes does something else. For example, taking CBD 10 minutes before taking THC will change how the body uptakes the THC and completely changes the experience.  Taking CBN and/or CBG on its own can make people extremely sleepy, whereas when taken in conjunction with CBD and THC, the pain is reduced but many patients are still mentally functional.
This is why full-spectrum products outperform isolates for almost all therapeutic applications.
Every batch is tested for cannabinoid content, potency and full spectrum balance by  The Good Lab in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We know exactly what is in each bottle – THC, CBD, CBN, and the rest – down to the microgram. This is how we calculate dosing and maintain consistency across batches.
Yes, general batch test results are made public.
The product is aged, full-spectrum cannabis resin suspended in organic sesame oil, that’s it. No fillers, no artificial flavors, no preservatives, nothing else. The resin contains THC, CBD, CBC, CBG, CBN, terpenes, and other naturally occurring compounds from the plant. We use sesame oil because it tastes much better than plain MCT or coconut oil.  We use higher concentrations so that you get more medicine with less oil ingested.
The founder thinks cannabis tastes and smells gross, too! This product is specifically made to hide the full spectrum cannabis taste behind sesame seeds, and it’s created in greater concentrations so that you don’t have to drink a mouthful of oil with your medicine.
Store in a cool, dark place, a cabinet or drawer is fine. Refrigeration is not required but will extend shelf life (you put open bottles of sesame seed oil in the fridge, right?). Keep the cap tight. Do not leave it in direct sunlight or in a hot car – heat degrades cannabinoids pretty quickly. Keep out of the reach of minors and follow all medicinal safety protocols.
In Colorado, yes. Cannabis is legal for adult use (21+) and medical use. We operate in full compliance with Colorado state law.
Not currently. Interstate cannabis commerce remains federally illegal regardless of state laws on either end. We are Colorado-only for now.
The Mercy Program is a way for us to provide medicine to people who otherwise cannot afford it. We rotate surplus inventory and test batches to those in need – homeless, elderly, fixed income, or otherwise unable to pay. The medicine provided in the Mercy Program is absolutely as effective as that which is purchased.
It is the CEO’s personal discretion who will be admitted to the Mercy Program. By means of obvious example, between an applicant with a sprained ankle and a patient with severe spinal pain, the person with spinal pain will be admitted into the program.
Access to the community support forums, detailed articles on how our medicine is made, ongoing R&D updates, and discussion with other members. This is where we share the knowledge behind the product for those who want to understand it or learn to make their own.
There is no cost to join and anonymity is encouraged.
Yes!  The community section includes detailed process documentation – seed selection, growing, harvesting, extraction, and formulation. We built this from open-source knowledge and believe in sharing it. The only thing we keep proprietary is the specific refinements that make our product ours in terms of flavor profile, aging process and other elements.
It is absolutely possible to make your own medicine and we actively encourage that.  You’re not paying us for a secret cannabis strain, you’re paying us for the time to grow and nurture the plants in in a medically clean environment, cultivate, age and mix the product, all of which takes 10 months out of the year from seed to product.
